將丁基熱熔密封膠放入擠出機缸內預熱到130-140℃，溫控器保持恒溫后，打出膠條檢查均勻不斷線時，將膠條涂抹到中空玻璃鋁隔條槽上，稍放涼后與干凈的玻璃壓合成中空玻璃半成品。

用進口快速打膠機生產(chǎn)時，應將膠筒溫度調高10-15℃，并將擠出壓力從150Mpa調到170-200Mpa，打出膠條才均勻。

取用丁基熱熔密封膠時手要清潔干凈，膠的表面不要沾入灰塵、油污和溶劑(如丙酮、汽油等)打膠時可戴不掉毛的手套，進行涂抹操作。接觸熱膠時小心燙傷，接觸膠的手套應干凈無毛邊或其它易粘在膠上的污染物。丁基熱熔密封膠打膠時要控制在160℃以下，嚴禁在170℃以上打膠，以免膠老化分解。
